Lake County---The Lake County Wine Alliance has chosen Cache Creek Winery in Clearlake Oaks, CA. as the venue for the sixteenth annual Lake County Wine Auction to be presented on Sat., Sept. 19, 2015. This stunning facility is a perfect venue for Lake County’s premiere fundraising event, which since it’s inception in 2000 has raised $1,177802 to benefit Lake County groups and organizations. Don and Margie Van Pelt, will be the honorary co-chairs for the 2015 Wine Auction.

LAKE COUNTY, CA. --- Five high schools, five youth oriented programs and 13 other nonprofit organizations will share the $96,500 raised this year from September's Lake County Wine Auction. The funds were distributed the evening of December 11, 2014 during a festive reception for beneficiaries and sponsors at the Lakeport Family Fun Center. Once again, education was the emphasis. "Our commitment to this critical area will ensure that Lake County grows as a strong and healthy community for the next generation." said Kaj Ahlmann, President of the Lake County Wine Alliance.

The twelfth annual Lake County Wine Auction on Saturday, Sept. 17, at Ceago Vinegarden will be a showcase for the bounty of Lake County, featuring wine, food, music, local products and personalities to benefit local nonprofit organizations and programs. The sponsoring Lake County Wine Alliance has announced that a limited number of tickets for the afternoon portion of the event will be sold at the door. The Grand Tasting ticket, $75 per person, will include an afternoon of wine and food tasting, the silent auction, music, and escorted tours of the Ceago gardens by members of the host Fetzer family. This part of the event will begin at 3:00 p.m. and conclude at 6:00 p.m. Several Lake County growers will display their products and offer tastings, including Lake County Grown, the Lake County Community Co-op, Villa Barone, Moon Essence, and the LAVA Center Popular keyboard artist David Neft will provide music and his sparkling wit during the afternoon

Five senior centers, five high schools, seven nonprofit organizations and one fire district have been selected as beneficiaries of this year's Lake County Wine Auction, announced Margaret Walker, president of the sponsoring Lake County Wine Alliance. The Wine Alliance, a nonprofit organization of wineries, wine grape growers, vineyard owners, related businesses and community supporters founded in 2000, has contributed over $831,765 to foster the arts, benefit health services, and support the community while promoting Lake County as a premier growing region for fine wine grapes. An all-volunteer board of directors and auction committee plan and direct the annual charity event.
