    This lot includes one 6 liter, one 3 liter, one magnum and a wooden six pack of 750 ml bottles of Steele Wines 2008 Stymie Merlot. The bottles are signed by winemaker/owner of Steele Wines, Jedediah T. Steele. You can use the 750 ml bottles to sample as the years pass to help you gauge when it is the correct time to pull the cork on the larger format bottles.

  6. A YEAR OF WINE, FOOD & ART

    The Lake County Wine Studio in Upper Lake hosts a winery, appetizers and a featured artist the first Friday and Saturday of each month February through December.     Make a barrel of red wine under the guidance of Six Sigma winemaker, Matt Hughes. Four visits to the Six Sigma Ranch will give you a hands-on-experience in the winemaking process. Your oenology adventure will begin during harvest; you will join Matt and your grapes on the crush pad for hand sorting followed by the crush. Next up will be a blending session, then a barrel tasting and finally hand bottling; you will need to provide labels. Celebrate the completion of bottling with a wine country picnic lunch for 10 at the ranch catered by Chic Le Chef. It is a cuvee blend of 2010 Sauvignon Blanc created from seven of Lake County's wineries: Ceago Vinegarden, Langtry Estate & Vineyards, Shed Horn Cellars, Six Sigma Ranch & Winery, Steele Wines, Tulip Hill Winery and Vigilance Winery. The Salmanazar is hand-etched and painted with an image from this year's Lake County Wine Auction 2011 John Clarke painting, "Thankful in Lake County." The cuvee blend was crafted by Barney Fetzer of Ceago Vinegarden.

Six people will get a tour of their Olive Hill Estate Vineyards and their 140 year-old French Picholine Olive Tree Grove and a tasting of their award-winning wines. Tonight you will take home 3 bottles of the B.R. Cohn 2008 Silver Label Cabernet Sauvignon signed by Bruce Cohn and a bottle of the B.R. Cohn organic extra virgin olive oil.
